Hip-Hop is dying

I love Hip-Hop, ever since i came to this country my ears have been attracted to the rhythmic blend of beats and lyrics. I do enjoy other genres out there, all types of rock, reggae, classical baroque, etc. Today while i was in the bathroom browsing through the itunes store (LOL), i looked at the top "hits" or "downloads". Boy was I disappointed to see the culprits of the tragic decay of Hip-Hop. I won't mention names but I'll just say the new so called Hip-Hop artists SUCK BIG TIME!! i don't have anything in my library that could be considered a new release, since there's nothing "new" that's acceptable.

Yes, there are some new artists with good stuff out there. To finish this rant.... if this situation of mediocre H.H. artists doesn't change i believe the genre will be extinct soon. Like Questlove said... the H.H. "artists of today are in a celebratory state" things like money, girls, ridiculously expensive cars, etc is on their stupefied minds. Unlike yesterday's H.H. when artists came from struggling neighborhoods and families, it all reflected on their lyrics and portrayed an inner struggle to survive and hope for a better day.
